Pradosha is very auspicious to worship lord Shiva and his consort goddess Parvati to seek their blessings for a propitious life. When Pradosha falls on Tuesday it is called as Bhauma Pradosh. Mangal, Bhauma or Mars is the ruling energy of this day. In scriptures, Bhauma was blessed by lord Shiva, given Mangal lok as a reward for his penance and devotion. Scriptures further state that when an individual follows Bhauma Pradosh they receive grace to remove problems associated with the malefic effects of mars. Some people observe this day to be blessed with a child. But this day is mostly observed to seek blessings of good health and high energy levels.

Pradosh falls on Trayodashi, in each lunar fortnight of Hindu calendar. The period of twilight is considered very favorable for worshipping lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Some people follow vrat (fasting), chant prayers, offer fruits, flowers, milk, curd, ghee, and honey to Shiva ling during this time.
